Symbolism of Green: According to color therapy, green is said to be healing, soothing and relaxing mentally as well as physically and is thought to help those suffering from depression, anxiety or nervousness. Hospitals often use green because it is said to relax patients. Currently the most popular decorating color, green symbolizes nature. It is the easiest color on the eye and is said to improve vision. It is a calming, refreshing color. Brides in the middle ages wore green to symbolize fertility. Dark green is masculine, conservative, and implies wealth. In Asia, green symbolizes eternity, family, harmony, health, peace and posterity. In English heraldry, green stood for renewal, life, vitality, youth, and freshness. Green is a symbol of Ireland, which is often referred to as "the Emerald Isle". It is the color of hope. Green is the color of the back of U.S. currency and carries a strong connotation to money, wealth and capitalism.

The Archangel Raphael associated with this chakra is the Archangel of healing. He surrounds physical ailments with healing energy of emerald-green light. The heart charka is the center of love and compassion. It stands for divine presence of empathetic connection, a love that is enduring, eternal and constant. Love is the ultimate healing force. Air, associated with lightness, openness and freedom, is element associated with the fourth charka.
